    2017 "Caring For the Community" Evening

    Multicultural KidsPlease join us on Thursday, November 30th, for "Caring For the Community Evening".  Starting at 6:30 p.m. the event will feature an unveiling of "Picasso Inspired Portraits", artwork created by every child at McGilvra under the direction of Art Instructor, Julia Waldeck.  You can also gather in the art area to create your own self-portraits.  
    -Family event: create a Family Charter. Using the curriculum RULER, students and staff have created school wide charters for how we want to feel at school and how we can successfully overcome conflict. Now the next step is to bring it to the whole school community. The Family charter activity can build understanding and empathy for the needs of every family member and reinforce skills learned at school.
    The event will end at 8:00 p.m.


     The McGilvra Book Fair will be open late that night!
