Kids Time is an extracurricular enrichment program run by the McGilvra PTA. Kids Time provides students with fun, enriching activities and unique opportunities through classes in languages, arts, sports, and creative topics. Three sessions of these classes will be offered throughout the year, Fall, Winter, and Spring. Any student attending McGilvra Elementary is eligible to enroll. Classes are taught by independent instructors including McGilvra parents. Full and partial scholarships are available.
McGILVRA KIDS' TIME ENRICHMENT PROGRAM FOR FALL
Kids' Time is McGilvra's after school enrichment program and offers students additional classes in art, foreign language, science, technology, and PE. The program is organized by the McGilvra PTA and administered through Seattle Parks & Recreation. For the Fall 2016 session, Kids' Time will offer one session of classes from 2:15-3:15pm after school each day on Monday through Thursday, starting September 19th and running through December 15th.
Classes offered for Fall 2016 include Thrive Art, Chess, Creative Computing, Carpentry, Spanish, and Mandarin, among others. Kids' Time brochures with a complete list of classes, course descriptions, prices, and registration information will be available at Taking Care of Business Day on September 1st and will also be sent home in students' folders on the first day of school. Registration will begin through Seattle Parks & Recreation on September 6th. Registration may be done online through the Seattle Parks & Recreation SPARC web site or in person/over the phone at the Montlake Community Center. Scholarships are also available through Seattle Parks & Recreation.
PLEASE NOTE: The Kids' Time enrichment program is separate from the After School Care program offered at McGilvra through the Montlake Community Center. If you are planning to register for After School Care separately or in addition to Kids' Time, please contact the Montlake Community Center directly at 206-684-4736. Spaces are limited in After School Care, so early registration is encouraged.
